Arizhel Name: Arizhel
Title: Goddess
Began JediMUD: 1995

I have been playing on JediMUD since I was a freshman in college, back in the fall of 1995. A friend got me started, and I in turn got a few friends started, which led to some interesting times in the 24-hour computer lab. I'll take a moment here to give kudos to Solstice, Damaramu, and Fufu. You made those first few years at jedi.america.net 4000 unforgettable.

I immorted Arizhel in late 1996, but still keep mortal characters to this day. For all you know, you may have grouped with me, and just don't realize it yet. :) I left the halls of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in the summer of 1996, and took a couple of semesters off before going to the Los Alamos campus of the University of New Mexico. After a couple of rocky semesters there, I left that institution as well. I would like to return to school to complete my degree, though no doubt my major would change from Environmental Engineering to.. well.. something else. I haven't decided yet.

After I left college, I continued to play, though the friends I used to group with did not. Over the years I've taken one or two extended leaves from Jedi, but I've always come back. Just call me a sucker for punishment. :)

I enjoy running and supervising quests, whether they be simple trivia or uber death-fests loaded with high-end equipment. I also enjoy writing areas. My zone writing debut, Arcadia (the remort town) is in, and I am still working on the joint revamp of Moria that I am working on with Tam.

Outside of the MUD, I enjoy painting Warhammer 40k miniatures, as well as playing the game itself once in awhile (www.gamesworkshop.com). I enjoy professional football (Go Packers!), movies, a good book, and of course, a few drinks in the company of friends once in awhile. I've actually gotten together with a few of the friends I've made over the years, including Ciara, Leonard, Scooby, Hebish, and of course, Tam, who I finally met in 2002 after nine years of friendship.

To me, JediMUD is not 'just a game'. JediMUD is a community, a unique gathering of people there to play the game, and to interact with each other on a more basic level. JediMUD is also not a job to me; it is a pastime that I enjoy and I choose to give my time to, in order to better the game. Bettering the game, in my humble opinion, includes everything from the current class-review project to taking care of business with those who choose to throw sand at others instead of playing nicely like the rest of the kids in the sandbox.

JediMUD is also a place to kill goblins. Lots and lots of goblins. *cackle*

I'm quite friendly. I don't bite, unless of course you're into that sort of thing, so if you see me logged in, feel free to say hello. Don't be afraid to ask questions of me or any of the immortal staff; that's part of what we're there to do. If I don't happen to be online, feel free to email me at arizhel@jedimud.com. If I don't know the answer to a question, I'll find someone that does.

And remember: The admin don't mort. Really. *blink*
